2006 Media Predictions: A Google PC ?

The LA Times ran an interesting article that I suggest you read. Some of the speculations are that Microsoft (MSFT) might make a bid for Yahoo (YHOO) to strengthen its internet search. Another predication is a cheap PC or laptop produced by Google (GOOG) exclusively for Wal-Mart (WMT). I believe US internet growth will be driven by cheap PC's and lower broadband internet costs. All sounds very interesting.

What do you think this would mean? Google creates a PC and sells it to Walmart at a VERY REASONABLE price and soon after Microsoft aquires Google. Two of the largest corporations in the world are doing buisness. Does the microsoft stock go off the charts? Or is it even possible for microsoft to sky rocket once again. I am fairly new to this, but this seems very interesting!!

The computers would not use Microsoft, too expensive. They would probably run on Linux (free open source software). I believe you can even downloard Linux for free. It is identical to Windows. Microsoft would not benefit from a cheap PC by Google.
