Cash is King

I just opened a GMAC money market account ( I am very pleased with their customer service. The web site is user friendly. I also just bought some shares of United Dominion Realty (UDR). UDR is an apartment REIT and should be less volatile than the broader market. Last Friday I sold my positions in America Movil (AMX) and Bema Gold (BGO).

Whats happening?

I got out of BGO with a pretty great gain. I recenrtly purchased shares of MA. Yesterday I decided to buy UDR after doing some resarch. I bought some shares of SIRI way back and have been getting my ass kicked on it lately....I would recommend not touching that satelite radio stuff....too risky. Thanks for posting UDR, it looks like it could do good things.

UDR will be a nice slow and steady stock. BGO is more volatile and thus commands a greater return.

BGO is going to begin listing on the NYSE, and will no longer be listed on the AMEX. The ticker stays the same.

My question, if one were to buy while the listing is still on the AMEX, what happens when the switche is made?

Nothing happens to your shares. Maybe you will see some more volatility. Same thing happened to my shares of Silver Wheaton (SLW).

@ $4.83 a share (up after hours) it is very hard to pass up!
