Cash is King
I just opened a GMAC money market account (gmacbank.com). I am very pleased with their customer service. The web site is user friendly. I also just bought some shares of United Dominion Realty (UDR). UDR is an apartment REIT and should be less volatile than the broader market. Last Friday I sold my positions in America Movil (AMX) and Bema Gold (BGO).

UDR will be a nice slow and steady stock. BGO is more volatile and thus commands a greater return.

Nothing happens to your shares. Maybe you will see some more volatility. Same thing happened to my shares of Silver Wheaton (SLW).
